Silk cotton is a lesser-used fabric in the scarf industry but still produces great results. The combination of cotton and silk results in a fabric that is more hardwearing and durable than plain silk, which we've found is ideal for children's scarves.
Our silk cotton scarves have a similar drape and weight to our silk twill, but the fabric is smooth rather than ribbed and is slightly more sheer. The silk component in the fabric gives it a slight lustre, whilst the cotton component provides added durability and the perfect amount of stiffness which helps it sit nicely. Because silk cotton is a similar weight to silk twill it is not bulky to tie like plain cotton or linen can be.
